I’m Gergana Stoyanova, the creative mind behind Drawberry Studio. I’ve only been a working artist for a few years, but I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. My first published illustration was in my kindergarten yearbook, and even though I didn’t know what an "illustrator" was, I always knew I wanted to be an artist.
After graduating from the National School of Arts in Varna, Bulgaria, I started freelancing—working on everything from concept art to logos. In 2021, I collaborated with movie studios in Bulgaria, gaining invaluable experience in visual storytelling. In 2022, I enrolled at NATFA for an animation diploma, and in 2024, I transferred to study book illustration at a London art college.
In 2023, a curious letter arrived—a request to illustrate a children's book called Captain Pip. I fell in love with it. So much that I already knew—this was what I wanted to do.
So, in 2024, Drawberry Studio was born in Sofia, Bulgaria! Having my own little space for illustration has been an incredible step, and I’m so happy to be working on books that bring stories to life. It’s just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
